My husband and I had dinner here last night. It was a beautiful, intimate setting. Even though there were three other families and couples around, it still felt very romantic. The host, David, was very friendly. He is a one man show but he ran everything very smoothly. The food was AMAZING. I cannot put into words how good the food was. It was a 4 course meal and from start to finish every bite was mouth watering. Highly recommend the Vallet House if you are in the Hermann, MO area.
Dinner at The Vallet House exceeded all of our expectations! Food was absolutely delicious, everything was cooked to perfection! The atmosphere was very cool and historic. Wine we had was great, service was impeccable, truly we have zero complaints. I would hands down recommend The Vallet House to all my family and friends that visit Hermann!
We celebrated our friends’ wedding with a beautiful dining experience at Vallet House! It was absolutely perfect! Small, intimate & personalized. The food was delicious & the service was amazing! We felt so welcomed. Thank you David for a wonderful night!
While I didn’t stay at the gasthouse, my man and I went for a dinner at the Valley House. It was the best dinner either of us had in our entire lives. David is attentive, passionate, and enthusiastic about the experience he provides his guests and goes above and beyond any dinner experience I have ever had! We will definitely be back!
My husband, mother in law, and I dined at The Vallet House on a Saturday night and had a wonderful experience. David is an excellent host and cook. The dining room is recently remodeled. It is a very comfy and inviting space. We had a delicious dinner of potato and cauliflower soup, truffle and sundried tomato pasta, filet with asparagus, and blackberry cream pie. The wine list is great and caters to many tastes and price points. One note is that they are still working on signage so don't be surprised when your GPS tells you to pull off the main road, and it seems like you are in the wrong place. There is a photo of the house on Google, and it helped us realize we were at the restaurant. Overall, it was a lovely experience. I highly recommend dining at The Vallet House when in Hermann.
Such a great experience from start to finish! David could not have been a better host and chef. Relaxing 3 course meal, had such a natural home feel throughout. Very clean, very nostalgic, best coffee! Can’t wait to come back!
My wife and I had dinner here on the last Friday of May. It was excellent! The food was prepared by the Owner / Chef, David; and he helped us select a terrific wine to go with it.
The only thing better than the food, was the service and after-dinner conversation. Being a small venue; reservations are a must. Treat yourself with dinner here when visiting the Hermann area!
Dave is a wonderful owner and a fantastic host. He made us feel like family the whole weekend we were here. The atmosphere and house definitely felt like a home. His food is to die for! Best short ribs I've ever had! Highly recommend staying here, having dinner, and doing the port tasting! Never had port before this and really enjoyed it! Thanks, Dave, for a great experience! We'll be back!
